Universal Studios Hollywood is set to shine this holiday season, inviting guests to a wonder-filled celebration across the theme park where beloved traditions return to create unforgettable memories. Highlights include “Grinchmas,” “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” and festive new additions to the Mushroom Kingdom at Super Nintendo World.
Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood is included with theme park admission and runs daily from Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, through Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026.
The holiday spirit fills the park with festive experiences at every turn. Universal Plaza, located at the heart of Universal Studios Hollywood, transforms into a dazzling spectacle with the return of the popular “Grinchmas” Who-bilation. Guests will be immersed in the whimsical world of Who-ville, where vibrant décor, playful performances and interactive activities bring the season to life.
At the center of Who-ville stands a 65-foot Grinchmas tree adorned with hundreds of ornaments and thousands of shimmering LED lights. The topsy-turvy tree serves as the celebration’s centerpiece, with nightly tree-lighting ceremonies featuring cascading snow and performances by a Who-inspired singing quartet.
“Grinchmas” offers heartwarming activities for all ages, from photo opportunities with the mischievous Grinch and his loyal dog, Max, to story time with Cindy-Lou Who as she reads “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Guests can also visit the Who-ville Post Office to send postcards filled with three good deeds or decorate festive paper ornaments. A variety of sweet treats and exclusive “Grinchmas” merchandise will be available for purchase.
“Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” features a jubilant décor of twinkling lights, magical garlands and cheerful wreaths. The Frog Choir performs traditional holiday a cappella music as guests explore Hogsmeade village in search of unique gifts and keepsakes while sipping hot, cold or frozen Butterbeer.
After sunset, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” brings the holiday season to life with a stunning projection show. The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry becomes a canvas of dazzling light and music inspired by the “Harry Potter” film series.
Guests entering the Mushroom Kingdom at Super Nintendo World will be greeted by two cheerful snowmen—one wearing Mario’s signature red hat and scarf, the other Luigi’s green cap and scarf—next to a sparkling tree topped with a Super Star. Special holiday merchandise will be available at retail locations throughout the park, including the 1-UP Factory shop inside the land.
From Dec. 1 through Feb. 28, guests using interactive Power-Up Bands can collect seasonal digital stamps, including the exclusive “Winter Wonder” stamp and the limited “Holiday Party” stamp available only in December. Power-Up Bands can be purchased inside the land or at select retail locations and sync with the Universal Studios Hollywood app to enhance gameplay experiences.
