UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif.- Universal Studios Hollywood embraces nostalgia with a new billboard inspired by the 1985 movie “Back to the Future” for Fan Fest Nights, an all-new immersive, after-hours fandom event.
The billboard, inspired by the original movie billboard, is located on Sunset Boulevard at the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard, featuring a fan dressed up as Marty McFly, clasping his goggles, sporting his signature red puffer vest, and scrutinizing his watch.
The digital clock replicates the countdown to the movie’s opening and counts down to the Universal Fan Fest Nights opening on April 25.
At the event, fans will “go back in time” to 1995 Hill Valley via the iconic Studio Tram and head toward Courthouse Square, the original filming location for this classic film located on the Universal Studios backlot. Fans can participate in the energetic recreation of the Enchantment Under the Sea dance and Hill Valley Festival, plus experience a stunning recreation of the Clock Tower lightning strike, sending Marty back to the future multiple times each event night.
Fans can also indulge their taste buds with themed foods and check out new merchandise. They can also experience select theme park attractions during the event, including “Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge,” “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™,” “Flight of the Hippogriff™,” “Jurassic World—The Ride,” “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem,” “Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride” and “The Simpsons Ride™”.
