ORLANDO, Fla., and UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. (July 10, 2025) — The twisted world of Art the Clown comes to life at this year’s all-new “Terrifier” haunted house, inspired by the cult-favorite slasher film franchise that has horrified audiences since 2008.
The haunted house will debut at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, Aug. 29, and at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, Sept. 4, as part of Halloween Horror Nights.
Created by writer and director Damien Leone and produced by Phil Falcone of Dark Age Cinema Productions, the “Terrifier” franchise follows Art the Clown, a supernatural killer who unleashes chaos in the fictional town of Miles County, New York, on Halloween night. Known for grotesque and inventive kills, the franchise includes three films, with a fourth currently in development.
At Halloween Horror Nights, guests will enter Art’s gruesome Funhouse — introduced in “Terrifier 2” — and experience an immersive, gore-filled maze of horror. The haunted house will feature scenes inspired by the films, including the infamous Clown Café, a disturbing bathroom, and a deadly holiday nightmare. Iconic characters such as Vicky and the Little Pale Girl will appear, and guests will come face-to-face with some of the franchise’s most shocking kills. Visitors must escape Art’s demented world or risk becoming his next display.
