Lotte World Adventure to Debut World’s First Monsterverse Attraction: Kong x Godzilla: The Ride
This December, Lotte World Adventure will unveil Kong x Godzilla: The Ride, the world’s first theme park attraction based on Legendary Entertainment and Toho Co., Ltd.’s Monsterverse franchise. Developed under an official license, the new multimedia dark ride is currently under construction on the site of the former Jungle Adventure.
Designed as a fully immersive experience, the ride brings the Monsterverse to life like never before. Guests will join Kong and Godzilla on a high-stakes journey through Kong’s newly claimed kingdom, blending cinematic storytelling with cutting-edge attraction technology.
Lotte World CEO Oh-Sang Kwon shared, “Kong x Godzilla: The Ride will offer a deeply immersive adventure into a globally beloved cinematic universe. Lotte World Adventure has consistently pushed boundaries in theme park innovation, and we remain committed to delivering fresh, exciting experiences to our guests.”
The announcement follows news from Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. about the next installment in the Monsterverse film saga: Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, now in production and slated for a 2027 global theatrical release.
Legendary’s Monsterverse—distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures—is a multi-platform franchise exploring humanity’s struggle for survival in a world where legendary monsters are real. Launched with Godzilla (2014), the franchise includes Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and the record-breaking Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024), the highest-grossing Godzilla film to date.
To date, the Monsterverse has earned over $2.5 billion worldwide and continues to expand across films, television (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on Apple TV+), video games, graphic novels, merchandise, and immersive live attractions—offering fans epic entertainment on a truly global scale.
