This past weekend movie theaters won big with a hug Memorial Day Weekend with Regal, AMC, Markus and Cinemark breaking records in attendance. Regal announced 3 million guest chose their theaters alone over the weekend. Giving a nice boost to theater owners over the start of the Summer movie season.
Lilo and Stitch top the weekend earning $192.7 million, and $361.3 million globally. Coming in second was the new Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning coming ending the weekend with $79 million domestically and a franchise-high $191 million globally.
According to Box Office Pro Hispanic’s showed up for the Disney Lilo and Stitch movie leading demographic attending the movie.
