Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is an upcoming sci-fi comedy spin-off of The Big Bang Theory centered on comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, played by Kevin Sussman.

The series follows Stuart after he accidentally breaks a device created by Sheldon and Leonard, triggering a multiverse-level catastrophe that threatens reality itself. To try to repair the damage, Stuart teams up with his girlfriend Denise, geologist Bert, and the ever-annoying physicist Barry Kripke. Along the way, they encounter alternate-universe versions of familiar characters from the original show, leading to a mix of science-fiction chaos, dimension-hopping adventures, and awkward comedy. As the title suggests, Stuart’s attempts to save existence do not go smoothly.

The show is described as a “science fiction action-adventure comedy” created by Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, and Zak Penn. Returning cast members include Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert, and John Ross Bowie as Barry Kripke.

It premieres on HBO Max in July 2026.

Inaugural Entertainment announced Tuesday that NIMRODS, a Green Day-inspired comedy film, will open in theaters Aug. 14, alongside a new distribution partnership with Legion M, the world’s first fan-owned entertainment company.

What is the NIMRODS movie about?

NIMRODS follows three friends — played by Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman and Ryan Foust — who travel to Los Angeles under the mistaken belief that their band is opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve. The road trip comedy draws on Green Day’s early years living out of a tour van, blending humor, chaos and a rebellious coming-of-age spirit.

The film also stars Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, Keen Ruffalo, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee, Sean Gunn and McKenna Grace.

Who produced NIMRODS?

The film was produced by Tim Perell of Process and Green Day members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool. Ryan Kroft and Michael Rapino of Live Nation Studios and Jonathan Daniel serve as executive producers.

What is Legion M’s role in NIMRODS?

Legion M — known for co-releasing the spoof comedy FACKHAM HALL in partnership with Bleecker Street — will co-release NIMRODS as part of its Legion M Film Fund, a vehicle designed to finance the marketing and distribution of independent films. The fund reached its $1 million allocation quickly after launch, signaling strong investor demand and a broader industry shift toward sustainable distribution models.

“Green Day wouldn’t exist without the fans, and we’re excited to give those fans the opportunity to own a stake in the film,” said Legion M co-founders Jeff Annison and Paul Scanlan. “Nimrods is exactly the kind of film we’re built for — bold, original and designed to be experienced together.”

Jen Pop is closing a chapter. Before she leaves for Ireland, she made sure to put on tape the music she has been carrying with her.

Pop co-founded The Bombpops, the San Diego punk band whose 2020 album “Death in Venice Beach” was released on Fat Wreck Chords the same day pandemic lockdowns began. Despite the timing, the record earned attention from NPR and built a fanbase that held. She later traveled to Philadelphia to record “East Side of Eden” with producer Will Yip — a record that stepped away from punk entirely and did not apologize for it.

Since then, Pop has been playing acoustic: her own songs, other artists’ songs, whatever the moment called for. That repertoire now has a home. “Borrowed & Blue,” a seven-track collection recorded in her bedroom without a click track, is out June 6 on blue 10-inch vinyl and CD, with pre-orders available now.

“I really thought I had to sacrifice something and just suck it up and do it to a click,” Pop said. “But in the end I felt strongly about not doing it that way. I wanted the rawness to be there.”

The album opens with “Like a Weight,” an original written about a friend. It is followed by “Dilaudid,” a Mountain Goats cover that fits here the way John Darnielle’s writing always does — fingernails-on-the-edge, holding on. “Barstool Thrones” came out of a 4 a.m. detour at Riot Fest, when Pop found herself in a bar that felt like the people inside had never left. Pat Benatar’s “Love Is a Battlefield” arrives mid-record and earns its place. “Bender,” which first appeared on “East Side of Eden,” is presented here in its original form. “There’s something really satisfying about having this song recorded raw with grittier vocals,” Pop said. “It gives a different edge to it.” “CA in July” is deconstructed until its core meaning surfaces. The record closes with “The Idiots Are Taking Over,” a NOFX cover that was the first thing Pop reached for the morning the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. She had a tour booked that week.

A bonus digital single, “Notre Dame” — reimagined from “Death in Venice Beach” — drops June 6 alongside the album.

“The only thing I feel like I have control over is myself, and so I’m doing the best I can with that,” Pop said. “Turns out it’s very liberating.”

She has new material waiting.

The Walt Disney Studios closed out studio presentations at the 2026 CinemaCon in Las Vegas, offering an expansive look at its upcoming theatrical releases. Stars and filmmakers representing titles from Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures were on hand to screen exclusive footage and make several announcements.

Alan Bergman, chairman of Disney Entertainment Studios, took to the stage at the Dolby Colosseum at Caesars Palace and opened with a sizzle reel highlighting upcoming titles. He thanked the industry for its continued partnership and highlighted that the three biggest Hollywood movies of 2025 came from the studio: “Zootopia 2,” which has grossed nearly $1.9 billion at the global box office, becoming the biggest Hollywood animated film of all time; “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” which grossed $1.5 billion, pushing the “Avatar” franchise past $6.7 billion globally; and “Lilo & Stitch,” which surpassed the billion-dollar mark. The studio has ranked No. 1 at the global box office for nine of the past 10 years, bringing in close to $6.6 billion globally in 2025 — more than $2 billion ahead of its nearest competitors.

“Disney will continue to deliver must-see theatrical experiences that bring audiences to your cinemas,” Bergman told exhibitors. “At all seven of our studios, it’s about high-quality storytelling with heart and humor that resonates around the world and stands the test of time, and there’s nobody that does it like Disney.”

Andrew E. Cripps, head of theatrical distribution for Walt Disney Studios, and Matthew J. Kalavsky, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Entertainment Studios, emphasized Disney’s storytelling capabilities. The two highlighted that Disney’s seven studios are behind 37 billion-dollar grossing titles — four times as many as any other studio — and that Disney keeps its films in theaters an average of 57 days.

“Cinemas matter — it’s something you can’t get anywhere else,” Cripps said, previewing Infinity Vision, Disney’s new certification initiative for premium large-format screens.

Already in 2026, the studio has released two original films: 20th Century Studios’ “Send Help” and Disney and Pixar’s “Hoppers,” both hits with critics and audiences. “Hoppers” recently crossed $350 million globally after posting the biggest domestic debut for an original animated film since “Coco” in 2017.

In two weeks, 20th Century Studios’ “The Devil Wears Prada 2” — the sequel to the 2006 film — will open exclusively in theaters May 1. Twenty years after their iconic turns as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to New York City and the offices of Runway Magazine. The film is directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna.

Cripps then invited director, co-writer and producer Jon Favreau to the stage to discuss Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu,” opening exclusively in theaters May 22. It is the first “Star Wars” film in nearly seven years. Favreau announced that advance tickets go on sale Friday before debuting the final trailer and the film’s first 18 minutes.

The film stars Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White. Din Djarin (Pascal), a legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter, and his young apprentice Grogu are enlisted by the fledgling New Republic to help protect everything the Rebellion fought for. The film is written by Favreau, Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor and produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Filoni and Ian Bryce, with music composed by Ludwig Goransson.

Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5” opens in theaters June 19. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen — reprising their roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear — joined Cripps on stage and screened an exclusive clip. Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang face a challenge when a new tablet device named Lilypad arrives with her own ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. The film is directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris, produced by Lindsey Collins, and features an original score by Randy Newman.

Dwayne Johnson joined Cripps to discuss “Moana,” Disney’s live-action reimagining of the animated film, opening exclusively in theaters July 10. Catherine Lagaaia, who makes her big-screen debut as Moana, also joined the stage and will receive CinemaCon’s Rising Star of 2026 Award later that evening. Moana answers the ocean’s call and voyages beyond the reef of her island with the demigod Maui (Johnson). The film is directed by Thomas Kail and produced by Johnson, Dany Garcia, Beau Flynn, Hiram Garcia and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Kalavsky previewed 20th Century Studios’ “The Dog Stars,” opening exclusively in theaters Aug. 28. Directed by Ridley Scott, the post-apocalyptic thriller stars Jacob Elordi as Hig, a young pilot who ventures into the unknown after a mysterious radio transmission. Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, Allison Janney, Benedict Wong and Guy Pearce also star. The film is based on Peter Heller’s novel and written by Mark L. Smith.

Brolin also stars in 20th Century Studios’ and Imagine Entertainment’s “Whalefall,” opening in theaters Oct. 16. Directed by Brian Duffield, the survival thriller follows Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams), who is swallowed by a massive sperm whale while diving off the central California coast in search of his deceased father’s remains. Elizabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy and Emily Rudd also star.

Searchlight Pictures’ “Wild Horse Nine,” written and directed by Martin McDonagh, opens exclusively in theaters Nov. 6. Set shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, the dark comedy stars John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi, Tom Waits and Parker Posey. Other upcoming Searchlight releases include “Super Troopers 3” on Aug. 7, as well as Tony Gilroy’s “Behemoth!” starring Pascal and “Sweetsick” starring Cate Blanchett, both in post-production.

Cripps announced that Hailee Steinfeld and Rashida Jones have joined the voice cast of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Hexed,” opening exclusively in theaters Nov. 25. Steinfeld voices Billie, an impulsive teenager who discovers secret magical abilities that send her into a witch realm called Hexe, where she teams with her cautious mother, Alice (Jones), to uncover family mysteries. The film is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand.

Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and Denis Leary joined Cripps on stage to discuss “Ice Age: Boiling Point,” opening Feb. 5, 2027. The animated sequel takes Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat and the rest of the herd to unexplored corners of the Lost World in a dinosaur-and-lava-filled adventure. Queen Latifah will receive CinemaCon’s Cultural Impact in Film Award later that evening.

The presentation closed with Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Doomsday,” opening Dec. 18. To mark the occasion, Disney introduced Infinity Vision, a new certification program for premium large-format theaters. Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, announced that “Avengers: Endgame” will return to theaters in September as an Infinity Vision release. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo then took the stage, followed by Robert Downey Jr. — in Doctor Doom’s signature green — who screened exclusive footage before bringing Chris Evans to the stage.

In the film, heroes from three distinct universes face an existential threat. Directed by the Russo brothers and written by Stephen McFeely, the film stars Downey, Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer and others. The film is produced by Feige, Louis D’Esposito and Jonathan Schwartz.

The presentation ended with a countdown clock on screen marking the days to the film's December release.

Angel, a media and technology company, announced five new theatrical releases to its 2026 slate Thursday. The company intends to release 10 films in theaters this year, supporting exhibition partners and audiences worldwide.

The slate ranges from an action thriller starring Owen Wilson and Alan Ritchson to a Cold War drama starring Jeff Daniels as President Ronald Reagan and J.K. Simmons as Secretary of State George Shultz, to a reimagining of the John Wayne classic “Angel and the Badman” starring Tommy Lee Jones.

“CinemaCon marks an important moment for us to show where Angel is headed,” said Brandon Purdie, executive vice president and head of theatrical at Angel. “Our 2026 slate is a celebration of what makes moviegoing matter — cinematic stories designed to be experienced together on the big screen.”

“This slate demonstrates that with engaging subjects, established stars, and engrossing storytelling, Angel has gone from aspiring to achieving,” said Neal Harmon, co-founder and CEO of Angel. “This marks an exciting step forward in our mission to launch projects created with our audience, not just for them, made possible by the passion and power of our more than 2.2 million Angel Guild members.”

Angel’s recent theatrical milestones include the highest-grossing faith-based animated theatrical opening of all time with “David” and two of the top 10 highest-grossing animated domestic theatrical releases of 2025. “Solo Mio,” a romantic comedy starring Kevin James released earlier this year, became one of the highest audience-rated romantic comedies of all time. The studio also achieved the highest average domestic box office per title among all independent distributors from 2023 to 2025, and its films hold an average Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 93%.

Angel’s 2026 Theatrical Slate:

“Animal Farm” — May 1

Directed by Andy Serkis, “Animal Farm” features a voice cast including Serkis, Seth Rogen, Woody Harrelson, Glenn Close, Gaten Matarazzo, Jim Parsons, Kathleen Turner, Kieran Culkin, Steve Buscemi, Laverne Cox and Iman Vellani.

A satirical allegory tracing how a movement for equality is systematically corrupted, the film follows the pigs as they consolidate control, erase truth, crush dissent and lead the farm into a dictatorship — fulfilling George Orwell’s warning about the dangers of communism.

“Young Washington” — July 3

Timed to the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, “Young Washington” tells the story of George Washington before the American Revolution. Directed by Jon Erwin, the film stars Kelsey Grammer, Mary-Louise Parker, Ben Kingsley and William Franklyn-Miller as a young George Washington.

Before he became the father of a nation, Washington was a soldier fighting to survive. A single misstep thrusts him into a global conflict, testing his honor, loyalty and courage as alliances crumble and the frontier erupts into war.

“The Brink of War” — Aug. 14

Directed by Michael Russell Gunn, this Cold War-era drama focuses on the Reagan-Gorbachev Reykjavik Summit. The film stars Jeff Daniels, Jared Harris, J.K. Simmons and Hope Davis, along with Branka Katic, Aya Cash and Guy Burnet.

President Reagan races against time to salvage a deal with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev that could dismantle nuclear arsenals — or ignite disaster.

“There are moments in history when the world demands uncommon courage — the courage to bridge divides, to sit across the table from an enemy, and to choose a different future,” said director Gunn and producer John Logan Pierson.

“Runner” — Sept. 11

Directed by Scott Waugh, “Runner” stars Owen Wilson and Alan Ritchson in a high-stakes thriller. The film also stars Rodrigo Santoro, Leila George, Kate Box, Peta Sergeant, Geraldine Hakewill, Cecilia Toussaint and Scarlett Crabtree.

A former soldier is thrown into a race against time when a critical medical delivery makes him the target of a ruthless cartel. With betrayal closing in, he must survive the chase and deliver his cargo before an innocent child runs out of time.

“Angel and the Badman” — October 2026

Directed by Julio Quintana, this reimagining of the John Wayne classic western stars Tommy Lee Jones, Zachary Levi and Neal McDonough.

When feared outlaw Quirt Evans staggers onto a rancher’s land with a bullet in his back, the rancher’s daughter offers him a chance at life beyond violence. But with a marshal closing in and an outlaw gang threatening the ranch, Quirt must decide what kind of man he will be.

“Drummer Boy” — Nov. 6

Directed by Ben Smallbone and Joel David Smallbone and written by Richard L. Ramsey, “Drummer Boy” is a Christmas musical about two brothers on opposite sides of the American Revolutionary War. The film stars Joel David Smallbone, Lucas Leach and Beth Easdown and is produced by the four-time Grammy-winning music group For King & Country.

“Hershey” — Thanksgiving 2026

Directed by Mark Waters, “Hershey” tells the story of Milton Hershey and how he overcame early failure to build one of the world’s most iconic brands. The film stars Finn Wittrock, Alexandra Daddario, Alan Ruck, Richard Kind, David Costabile and Helene Yorke.

“Just about everyone knows the Hershey name through chocolate, but what immediately drew me to Milton’s story were the obstacles and struggles he overcame to achieve his success,” Waters said. “That spirit, embodied by the love story between Milton and Catherine Hershey, is the core of our movie.”

“Zero A.D.” — Christmas 2026

Directed by Alejandro Monteverde, “Zero A.D.” recounts the biblical story of Mary and the sacrifices she bears to save Jesus. The film stars Deva Cassel, Sam Worthington, Jim Caviezel and Ben Mendelsohn.

A ruler consumed by fear sends his armies to erase a child born under a sign of rebellion. But one woman refuses to run from destiny as the true battle begins — not for a throne, but for the soul of mankind.

CinemaCon, the world’s largest convention for the global cinema industry and the official convention of Cinema United, revealed today the honorees for the 2026 Big Screen Achievement Awards, taking place on April 16 at The Dolby Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. This year’s honorees are James Cameron (Cinema United Spirit of the Industry), Queen Latifah (Cultural Impact in Film), LaKeith Stanfield (Star of the Year), Zoey Deutch (Vanguard Award) Adam Scott (Award of Excellence in Acting), Noah Centineo (Star of Tomorrow), and Catherine Lagaʻaia (Rising Star of 2026).

LaKeith Stanfield can be seen next month starring in NEON’s I Love Boosters, releasing in theaters on May 22, 2026. Written and directed by Boots Riley (Sorry To Bother You), Stanfield stars opposite Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu, Eiza González, Will Poulter, Don Cheadle, and Demi Moore in a film about a crew of professional shoplifters who take aim at a cutthroat fashion maven. Zoey Deutch can be seen this summer in Sony Pictures Classics Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass, releasing in theaters on July 10, 2026. Deutch stars as a small town hairdresser, Gail Daughtry, who is engaged to her devoted high school sweetheart, Tom. Her life takes a turn when a trip to a book signing leads to Tom meeting and sleeping with his “celebrity pass.” Reeling from the betrayal, Gail impulsively joins her friend Otto on a trip to Los Angeles, where a psychic convinces Gail that the only way to save her marriage is to “even the scales” with her own celebrity pass: Jon Hamm. Most recently, Deutch garnered rave reviews for her role as Jean Seberg in the Golden Globe nominated Novelle Vague, earning her a Film Independent Spirit Award nomination. She executive produced and starred in The Threesome and in the suspense thriller Anniversary. Adam Scott stars in Hokum, NEON’s supernatural horror film arriving in theaters May 1, 2026. When novelist Ohm Bauman (Scott) retreats to a remote inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, he is consumed by tales of a witch haunting the honeymoon suite. Disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance force him to confront dark corners of his past. Widely known for his role in Step Brothers, Scott’s other film credits include The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Black Mass, The Vicious Kind, Sleeping With Other People, Bachelorette, The Disaster Artist, Our Idiot Brother, Monster-In-Lay, Knocked Up, and The Aviator. Noah Centineo will star in Street Fighter, from Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures, in association with Capcom, arriving in theatres October 16, 2026. Filmed for IMAX® and set in 1993, Street Fighter is set to bring the battle from the arcade to the big screen with Hadoukens, roundhouses, and all your favorite characters. In addition to Street Fighter, Centineo recently wrapped production on John Rambo and will star in and produce the live-action Gundam movie. Centineo rose to fame in the popular To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy. His additional credits include the Sundance breakout Union County, as well as Warfare, Black Adam, and the television series The Recruit, on which he also served as an executive producer. In 2023, Centineo founded Arkhum Productions alongside Enzo Marc, producing films such as Our Hero, Balthazar, and the upcoming Iconoclast.

Catherine Lagaʻaia will make her big screen debut in Moana, Disney’s live-action reimagining of the beloved Oscar®-nominated animated adventure opening exclusively in theaters July 10, 2026. In the film, Moana (Lagaʻaia)answers the Ocean’s call and, for the first time, voyages beyond the reef of her island of Motunui with the infamous demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) on an unforgettable journey to restore prosperity to her people. Prior to landing the role of Moana following a worldwide search, Lagaʻaia appeared in the limited series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. Her upcoming roles include the 2027 feature film thriller Crashout.

LAS VEGAS — Barco, a global leader in laser cinema technology, will host a special in-booth appearance by Air Bud, the canine star of the upcoming theatrical film “Air Bud Returns,” during CinemaCon 2026.

The appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, from 2-4 p.m. in the Barco exhibition space in Roman Ballrooms 3 and 4 at Caesars Palace. The event is open to registered CinemaCon trade show pass holders.

Attendees will have the opportunity to take photos with the star and participate in a custom-built basketball hoop experience tied to the film. Barco and Cineverse will provide refreshments and themed giveaways during the event.

Director Robert Vince will also join Cineverse to present an exclusive sneak peek of the film, optimized for Barco laser projection technology.

“Air Bud Returns,” the latest installment in the franchise from Air Bud Entertainment, follows the golden retriever back to Fernfield. The film is scheduled for release Jan. 22, 2027.

CinemaCon, the largest global convention for cinema operators, runs April 13-16 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Admission to the Barco exhibit is free for trade show pass holders and fully registered attendees.

The National Hispanic Media Coalition announced today several honorees for its annual Impact Awards Gala, set for Friday, April 24, 2026, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Apple TV’s comedy series The Studio will receive the Beyond the Lens Impact Award. Belissa Escobedo will be honored with the Outstanding Actress Performance in a Series Award, while Beth de Araújo will receive the Visionary Impact Award for her feature film Josephine. Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters co-writers Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan will be recognized with the Storytelling Impact Award.

Hosted by comedians Chris Estrada and Frankie Quinones, the annual event celebrates individuals whose work advances a more inclusive society.

The Studio has quickly made an impact within the entertainment industry and among audiences with its sharp, insider satire of Hollywood. Its creative team has helped expand and elevate Latino voices. Beyond the Lens Impact Award honorees include Frida Perez, co-creator, writer and co-executive producer; Keyla Monterroso Mejia; Lorena Perez Batista; and Antonio Sanchez. NHMC cited their collective contributions to the series’ success.

Jimenez and McMechan are being recognized for their collaboration on KPop Demon Hunters, which blends genre storytelling with themes of identity, belonging and self-expression. Their work reflects a shared creative vision that is both innovative and culturally resonant, aligning with NHMC’s mission to combat hate, discrimination and racism toward marginalized communities.

Escobedo will be honored for her role as Isabella on NBC’s Happy’s Place, starring opposite Reba McEntire. As one of the few Latinas in leading roles on broadcast television, the award recognizes her contributions to Latino representation on screen. She is also known for her roles in Blue Beetle, The Baker and the Beauty and Hocus Pocus 2.

Araújo will receive the Visionary Impact Award for Josephine, which premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. Dramatic Competition, where it won both the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize. The film was later selected for the main competition at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden Bear.

The all-original Universal Fan Fest Nights experience, “Forbidden Forest: Search for the Hippogriff

,” at Universal Studios Hollywood invites witches, wizards and Muggles to venture into the Forbidden Forest in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter on a mission to rescue a revered magical creature.

Tickets are now on sale for Universal Fan Fest Nights, a limited, 12-night event scheduled for April 23–25; May 1–3, 7–9 and 14–16, 2026.

The experience places guests in an all-new outdoor environment created exclusively for the event. Guided by a Hogwarts magical creatures professor, visitors embark on a walk-through adventure encountering creatures ranging from pixies and owls to spiders and the Monster Book of Monsters. Along the way, obstacles challenge guests to summon bravery and spellcasting skills to complete their nighttime rescue mission.

Universal Fan Fest Nights is an after-hours, separately ticketed event celebrating fandom through immersive, interactive experiences created by the park’s entertainment team in collaboration with industry experts. The event features themed worlds, live entertainment, character interactions, cosplay, photo opportunities and curated food, beverages and merchandise.

The experience challenges guests to solve a case involving classic Universal Monsters, including Frankenstein, Dracula, the Bride of Frankenstein and the Wolf Man, while exploring iconic sets such as Little Europe and the Court of Miracles.

ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show
Presented at the WaterWorld venue, this live show features characters from ONE PIECE in a high-energy performance blending action, comedy and adventure. Inspired by the Universal Studios Japan production, the show highlights themes of friendship, freedom and chaos.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon the Miracle: Moon Palace Chapter Deluxe
This Japanese-language CG anime short film will screen at the DreamWorks Theatre with subtitles. The story follows Super Sailor Moon as she battles an enemy seeking the Legendary Silver Crystal, ultimately restoring peace to the Moon Palace.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Secrets of Waterdeep
Returning with enhancements, this walk-through experience invites guests into the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Participants join the Harpers, a spy network, to stop the beholder Xanathar and save Waterdeep. The character is brought to life by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, known for its work in puppetry and animatronics.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD – Colorful Yoshi Celebration
This new offering introduces a multicolored Yoshi-themed experience, allowing guests to explore the Mushroom Kingdom and meet various Yoshi characters throughout the land.

Universal Studios Hollywood has introduced a new Dining Pass, offering guests a flexible way to enjoy meals and snacks throughout their visit for a single price. The pass is available now and can be purchased online or at the theme park.

The Dining Pass includes two eligible entrees and four eligible sides, snacks, desserts or beverages at participating in-park dining locations.

The menu features a selection of items created by Executive Chef Julia Thrash and her team, with food prepared fresh daily in the park’s on-site production kitchen. The offerings are designed to provide guests with a variety of exclusive culinary options.

“We take enormous pride in preparing an eclectic menu for our guests and want our food offerings to be as exciting as the rides and attractions,” Thrash said. “Our 30,000-square-foot production kitchen serves as the home base for all food preparation, and it’s rewarding to see guests enjoy the menu we curate.”

The Dining Pass can be redeemed at participating locations on the selected visit date. Eligible items are marked with the Dining Pass logo on menu boards. Restrictions apply.

Guests can purchase the pass in advance through the official website or at participating restaurants inside the park. It activates upon first use on the selected date and can be added to the official Universal Studios Hollywood app by scanning the ticket QR code in the “My Wallet” section.
